Alicia Cohen
Alicia Cohen (US) is a poet. She is the author of three books of poetry: bEAR (2000), Debts and Obligations (2009), and Coherer (forthcoming). Her opera and gallery installation Northwest Inhabitation Log (2004) explored the “between” of genocide and ecological catastrophe. She earned her Ph.D. in the Poetics Program at State University of New York, Buffalo. Her dissertation on experimental realisms examines the work of poets skeptical of the given-ness of the seen world. She has taught at Reed College and Portland State University and helped establish and run the art space Pacific Switchboard in Portland, Oregon.
