Cal Harben
Cal Harben (CA) is an artist who received her BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 2009. Her practise is primarily concerned with the phenomenological experiences of duration, embodiment, and topophilia (the ecology of individual and social bodies in space). This often takes the form of photographic-installations, video, and crafted objects, engaging a language of queer aesthetics and ecologies. Their recent work takes interest in cultural ideas of doubles and doubling, collective social bodies, and the terrain of the 'unseen'. Harben is currently undertaking her MFA at the Tromsø Academy of Contemporary Art in Norway. www.calharben.com
