Sam Nightingale
Sam Nightingale is a British artist based in London who works with photography and the moving image to enliven the hidden spaces within and between built structures. His practice is research driven and responds to sites both real and imagined. Much of his work concerns the spectral spaces of cinema found in rural contexts, visualising the way time and space are folded into these cinematic sites. He is currently working on a new project concerning electromagnetic energy, exploring how the philosophic gesture of lightning finds a manifestation in electricity. His work has been shown in exhibitions and film festivals in America, Australia and Europe. http://www.samnightingale.com
