For Living Earth, Sonic Acts and Hilde Methi have been collaborating with a number of Norwegian and Russian partners in order to further the conversations on the topics addressed through the Dark Ecology commissioned artworks that took place between 2014 and 2017. The aim here has been to increase the visibility and impact of the artistic output, and to present the thoughts and ideas of the original project to a wider audience. Some pieces are presented unchanged, albeit within new surroundings, whereas others showcase new work that is representative of the artists’ continued processing of the materials. Throughout Spring 2018, a series of Dark Ecology commissions, workshops, and discussions will be presented in venues and in association with several partners. These events include: Inversia Festival in Murmansk with Fridaymilk, SALT in Oslo, Terminal B in Kirkenes with Pikene på Broen. Living Earth 2018 is realised with generous support from Arts Council Norway, BarentsKult, Creative Industries Fund NL, WE Jansenfonds, Oslo kommune, and additional support by PNEK – Production Network for Electronic Art Norway and Atelier Nord, The Northern (Arctic) Federal University, Arkhangelsk is an academic partner.
